AuraVerseStudio – Return & Refund Policy
Effective Date: 16 June 2026
1. Our Commitment
At AuraVerseStudio, we are committed to your satisfaction. This policy governs returns and refunds for our beauty and grooming products, including our Nail Trimmer Set, Hair Trimmer Set, Hair Curler, and Facial Cleanser, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) of South Africa.
2. Your Rights Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA)
In terms of the CPA, you have the right to:
- Return goods within 14 days of purchase if they are found to be defective, unsafe, or not fit for purpose, and receive a full refund, repair, or replacement at your discretion.
- Cancel a transaction within 5 business days if the goods were purchased as a result of direct marketing (e.g. via social media ads, WhatsApp, or email campaigns).
- Receive goods that are of good quality, free of defects, and suitable for the purpose they are intended for.
3. Eligibility for Returns
We accept returns under the following conditions:
- The item is defective or damaged upon receipt.
- The item is not as described on our website or marketing material.
- The item is unsafe or poses a health risk.
- The return is requested within 14 days of delivery for change-of-mind returns (this is a goodwill policy beyond CPA minimums).
The following items are NOT eligible for return:
- Products that have been used, opened, or unsealed (for hygiene reasons — applicable to the Facial Cleanser and any personal grooming items where skin or body contact has occurred).
- Items returned without original packaging and proof of purchase.
- Products damaged due to misuse, negligence, or failure to follow care instructions.
- Items purchased on sale or clearance (unless defective).
4. Hygiene & Safety Disclaimer
Due to the personal nature of our products (nail trimmers, hair trimmers, hair curlers, and facial cleansers), we cannot accept returns of opened or used items for hygiene and safety reasons, unless the item is defective. This is consistent with Section 56 of the CPA regarding implied warranty against defects.
5. How to Initiate a Return
To request a return, please contact us within the applicable return window:

Please include:
- Your order number and proof of purchase
- A description of the issue
- Photos or video of the defect or damage
We will respond within 2–3 business days to advise on next steps.
6. Return Shipping
- If the return is due to a defect or our error, we will cover the return shipping cost.
- If the return is a change-of-mind (goodwill return), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
- We recommend using a trackable courier service — AuraVerseStudio is not liable for items lost in transit during return.
7. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected:
- Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days.
- Refunds will be issued via the original payment method or via EFT where applicable.
- You will be notified via email or WhatsApp once your refund has been processed.
8. Replacements & Repairs
In line with the CPA, if a product is found to be defective within 14 days of purchase, you may choose between:
- A full refund
- A replacement of the same product
- A repair (where applicable)
AuraVerseStudio will honour whichever option you select, subject to stock availability.
9. Warranty
All AuraVerseStudio products carry an implied warranty against defects as required by the CPA. Our electrical products (Hair Curler, Hair Trimmer Set) additionally carry a 14 day warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use conditions.
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse or accidents
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from use with incompatible voltage or power sources
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, AuraVerseStudio's liability is limited to the purchase price of the product. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products.
11. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including but not limited to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, and the National Credit Act 34 of 2005 (where applicable).
